Pimples are capable of making any person feel more self-conscious about the way they look and add stress on top of their daily activities. In the long term it is important to get enough sleep, drink lots of water and cut out excess oily foods. But if you have to rendezvous with someone the very next day, here are 10 tips that will at least help in getting rid of the inflammation if not the entire problem.
Ice – ice the affected area to help improve blood circulation, freeze the skin pores, and remove dirt and oils on your skin.
Lemon – fresh squeezed lemon juice is rich in vitamin C and will dry up pimples fast.
Honey – a natural antibiotic, and will speed up the healing process fast as well as prevent infections.
Toothpaste – use white toothpaste and apply it in the affected area overnight or for at least half an hour during the day.
Steam – steam will open up those pores and get rid of oil, dirt, and bacteria allowing your skin to breathe!
Garlic- garlic is an antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant agent, just cut a fresh clove and rub it over the affected area.
Baking Soda – a baking soda paste is a good option with those with sensitive skin, but don’t leave it too long! It can cause dryness.
Peppermint – the soothing effect of menthol can help reduce redness and inflammation, it is also an antibacterial and will purify your skin. Either crush some leaves to extract the juice to apply on the face, or drink peppermint tea.
Cucumber – rich in potassium and vitamins such as A, C and E, cucumbers have an amazing cooling affect! Make it a paste, eat it raw or drink cucumber water.
Papaya – exfoliating with papaya can help remove dead skin, and it is also a great sourcce of vitamin A and skin revitalizing enzymes.
